Who comes to see me? I work with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, or relationship difficulties in their marriage or at work. Do I work with people who are not experiencing one of these issues? Yes, of course. But I know that I can best serve those individuals who need help in these areas.

What makes Christian therapy different? Most psychologists and mental health practitioners are not Christians. Most will claim to be able to help everyone regardless of their religious affiliation. However, what they fail to take into consideration is what they may not be aware of regarding the world view differences that can make a big difference in the process and outcomes of therapy. How we incorporate spirituality into our sessions will vary from person to person. We might include prayer, Bible discussion, spiritual disciplines, and the like. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to free people from their mental, emotional, and interpersonal burdens so that they love God and love people more freely.

Where is my office? My office is your office. Or your home. Or your car (though not while driving). As an online-only therapist, we meet in any place you can have privacy and a good WIFI signal.

I hold a PhD from the University of Florida and an MDiv from Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. I have served as a staff psychologist, a professor, and many positions within the church including senior pastor. This unique combination of training in psychology and theology and professional experience enables me to help Christians overcome depression, manage anxiety, and improve their marriages in a distinctively Christ-honoring way.

I am licensed in the State of Florida (PY-8422) and only see residents of the State of Florida.
